From a Capital spend perspective Aspire delivered a Capacity Management plan which:
- Maximised the Operator’s current Radio Network capacity, without the need for additional CAPEX
- Provided an independent assessment of the Network expansion requirements required to meet the Operator’s forecast traffic demands
As a direct result of our recommendations, the Operator achieved $2.5M in CAPEX saving in 2015 Financial Year. This was realised through a reduction in 3G site expansion requirements ranging from a minimum of 33% to a maximum of 66% across multiple markets.
Aspire provided a Network Performance Improvement Tiger Team to assess multiple networks in a global operator and recommended changes which resulted in a reduction of ongoing operating costs. By activating and tuning 60 new 3G RAN features in 7 months across 25 markets, the Operator achieved $1.6M net OPEX saving in 2015 Financial Year.
Improved Customer Experience
In addition to focusing on OPEX reduction, the Tiger Team also made recommendations which resulted in significant network performance and Quality of Experience improvements. Specifically Aspire delivered:
increase in Downlink throughput
reduction in the Call drop rate
increase in UL throughput
